“u0026#39;Timeless Tales from Hallmarku0026#39; is a wonderful show, adapting well-loved stories and while not completely faithful it treats them with respect and tells the stories with plenty of heart and charm without over-complicating or dumbing them down.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Rapunzelu0026quot; is not quite one of the best of the series, based on a story that is still lovely but not one of my favourites. As an adaptations, itu0026#39;s not one of the faithful ones with a different ending that is not as moving as the original ending, but the basic structure is there.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs a standalone, itu0026#39;s lovely and charming with many heartfelt moments. The story is always well-paced, never hurried or stretched out, and is told with a whole lot of heart and charm.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWith the animation, as always with the u0026#39;Timeless Tales from Hallmarku0026#39;, Thereu0026#39;s plenty of vibrant colour, the backgrounds have a great amount of detail and itu0026#39;s smoothly drawn. The music is whimsical and poignant, the songs having a lot of emotional impact.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eScripting is nicely written with a lot of pathos that doesnu0026#39;t feel forced or cloying. The live-action bookend scenes are beautifully done. The characters do a great job carrying the story, with charming and not bland leads and a great villains in Carlotta. The voice acting is impressive, with an emotive Rapunzel and a menacing Scarlotta.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIn summary, not quite one of the best of the show but very well done still. 9/10 Bethany Cox”
