“I have been to the frontline on the Crimea border just a few meters from the little green man and the warzone in Donbass so I watched this movie with great curiosity.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSome of the stories in the movie, for example why people changed sides and joined the Russians, I heard from Ukrainian officers just after the events – they are accurate. The drinking u0026quot;lifestyleu0026quot; of rural Ukraine is also accurately and honestly depicted. The average Ukrainian village is indeed not a happy place.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis movie is of course shows the Ukrainain side of the story, but does not make monsters out of the Russians. Good point. This is not some cheap black and white propaganda flick. Still, the movie is confusing, with somewhat obscure storylines. Yes, there is a message in it, a bit too obvious to be really effective. With more skill, it could have been a good movie, but it is not. Still, for those interested in the war in Ukraine, I recommend it.”
