An Evening with Tim Heidecker: Directed by Benjamin Berman. With Tim Heidecker, Doug Lussenhop. Tim Heidecker’s first stand-up special

“Tim Heidecker. Oh you little genius.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eA friend of mine told me to check this little u0026quot;specialu0026quot; out and see if it belongs within the strange pantheon of Heideckeru0026#39;s previous work. For those of you familiar with Tim and Eric, Steve Brule and Tom Goes to the Mayor, then you will know what you are in for. Unfortunately, Iu0026#39;m sure the crowd was not ready for the performance, but hey, they might have had an inkling into what was happening.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHeidecker basically pulled a big meta commentary on washed up comics. The jokes were bland, he complained about PC culture and did all the things that some whiney conservative man babies like Jerry Seinfeld and Todd Phillips have been complaining about. He proves once again that talent and inventiveness is necessary for comedy. If anything, Heidecker is an OG of this type of comedy, even though Sacha Baron Cohen and Eric Andre have surpassed him. But rather than complain about the state of u0026quot;wokeu0026quot; society Heidecker keeps doing stuff to compete and stay relevant, such as doing a hackneyed comedy u0026quot;specialu0026quot; like this or doing a series of commercials for Purple mattresses or heck, playing a courtroom series as perfectly straight.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI doubt few will get this special, but for those that found this bizarre take on comedy refreshing, then check this weird show out.”
