And this story, though monotonous after a point, has some funny jokes that land u0026amp; the banter between its brothers, has moments that evoke mirth u0026amp; some genuine emotion too. I found myself emotionally connected in the filmu0026#39;s concluding moments, which I least expected too. Having said that, there is no denying that u0026#39;Father Figuresu0026#39; gets repetitive u0026amp; even some of its jokes donu0026#39;t land. Also, the length couldu0026#39;ve been trimmed by 10-15 minutes.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eJustin Malenu0026#39;s Screenplay is a mixed bag, but there are some nice things here, that leave a mark. Lawrence Sheru0026#39;s Direction is adequate. Cinematography is satisfactory. Editing couldu0026#39;ve been tighter. Art u0026amp; Costume Design are standard.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003ePerformance-Wise: Owen Wilson u0026amp; Ed Helms are extremely likable. Both of the terrific actors add a lot to their roles u0026amp; excel in the comedic u0026amp; emotional bits. The Legendary Glenn Close appears in a cameo as the mother of the boys u0026amp; as usual, lends grace to the part. Among the dads, Terry Bradshaw is fun to watch, J. K. Simmons wild u0026amp; The Great Christopher Walken gets barely anything to do. Ving Rhames u0026amp; Katt Williams are funny. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOn the whole, u0026#39;Father Figuresu0026#39; is an entirely watchable comedy, that has its pros u0026amp; cons. Not a bad Sunday noon watch!”
