Ghost Movie 2 (2014)

Ghost Movie 2: Directed by Michael Tiddes. With Marlon Wayans, Jaime Pressly, Essence Atkins, Gabriel Iglesias. Having exorcised the demons of his ex, Malcolm is starting fresh with his new girlfriend and her two children. After moving into their dream home, however, Malcolm is once again plagued by bizarre paranormal events.

“I didnu0026#39;t really like the Scary Movie series so I was pleasantly surprised by the similar (but funnier) A Haunted House. Still, I wasnu0026#39;t looking forward to this sequel since comedy sequels almost always suck. Sadly, this one does suck for the most part. Marlon Wayans tries so so hard and carries the movie on his back 95% of the time. His shtick is constant and, because of this, I grew tired of him very quickly. By the half-hour mark I was ready to throw in the towel. But I stuck with it and it does get better in the last twenty minutes or so. Cedric the Entertainer, Missi Pyle, Hayes MacArthur, and Kym Whitley are all more amusing than the movie deserves. Jaime Pressly is terrible. Gabriel Iglesias is one tired Mexican joke after another. The humor is over the top and often gross. It sets out to top the first movie in crudeness. Why this was the goal is beyond me but I was worried it would be. The Wayans family seem to believe that comedy gets funnier as it gets nastier, which is why the vast majority of their work is bottom-of-the-barrel garbage. See it if you like your humor as lowbrow as it can possibly get.”
