Fallen Angels: Directed by Jeff Thomas. With Michael Dorn, Bill Moseley, Adrianne Curry, Michael Kaliski. When a turn of the century prison reformatory is slated for demolition, a grisly discovery is made. Hidden deep underground beneath the west cell block is a sub-basement structure that has not been entered in 100 years. Inside are the skeletal remains of several brutally slain children. As a CSI team arrives at the prison, an even more disturbing discovery is made that will eventually unveil a legion of seven demons and their even more chilling origins: each demon is responsible for one of the seven deadly sins. Seven deadly sins…Seven deadly demons…Seven more deadly ways to die…

“First, the people who created this film are clearly Christians with a religious motive. From the content of the movie, Iu0026#39;d guess theyu0026#39;re conservative evangelicals, though not complete fundamentalists. So if you arenu0026#39;t OK with themes and a message that are specifically religious, beware.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNevertheless, they do not shy from gore, employ good special effects and deliver some high quality chills. The demons, settings, and killings are very well done, and make most of this movie worth watching for fans of the genre.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHaving said that, the film suffers from a few flaws severe enough that I would advise most viewers against it. First, weaknesses in the acting and/or script make the dialogue painful at times to watch. Second, the plot is rambling, difficult to follow, and unnecessarily convoluted.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut the biggest failure is the ending, which is an unmitigated disaster that posthumously dynamites the chills delivered earlier. Mind you, itu0026#39;s not the message, per se, that I object to, but the fact that in terms of tone and theme itu0026#39;s so utterly incompatible with the rest of the movie, that it drags down the whole edifice.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eRecommended for only for serious fans of supernatural horror, but stop the movie about 10 minutes before the end.”
