“Letu0026#39;s look at why I feel that u0026quot;Yaadeinu0026quot; is a nice, entertaining movie (and justifies a score much higher than the 4.5/10 awarded to it:u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e1. The songs are really terrific.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e2. Everyone has acted quite well when compared to the acting levels that one generally sees in Hindi cinema.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e3. The story is credible.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e4. The director is very well known.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSo why has this movie got such a low score?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy personal belief is that Hindi movies get wild, inconsistent ratings from fans who have not thought the matter sufficiently through. How else can one justify a rating of 9.2/10 for u0026quot;Dil Chahta Haiu0026quot; and just 6.0/10 for u0026quot;Asokau0026quot;? Is u0026quot;Dil Chahta Haiu0026quot; a better movie than, say, u0026quot;Shawshank Redemptionu0026quot; which was rated 9.0/10?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Dil Chata Haiu0026quot; is good. But 9.2/10? I donu0026#39;t think so. And does u0026quot;Asokau0026quot; deserve the low rating of 6.0/10? I donu0026#39;t think so.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt appears that very few people rate Hindi movies compared to the numbers of reviews that English movies get (45 people rated u0026quot;Yaadeinu0026quot;; 75,837 people rates u0026quot;Shawshank Redemptionu0026quot;). This causes distortion in the average especially when the u0026quot;swingu0026quot; (as seen in the case of u0026quot;Yaddeinu0026quot;) is so large.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI belive that u0026quot;Yaadeinu0026quot; should be rated 6.0/10. Itu0026#39;s a nice entertaining movie and not the sinking ship that it has been likened to.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSee it and decide for yourself.”
