“Well, you might want to not really get your hopes up for anything grand here, when and if you sit down to watch the 2020 horror movie titled u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot;.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs I sat down to watch it, I wasnu0026#39;t sure what I was getting into, as I hadnu0026#39;t heard about the movie prior to watching it. So writers Dan Kennedy and Devereux Milburn had every opportunity to impress and bedazzle me with u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot;. And I must admit that the movieu0026#39;s cover/poster definitely seemed interesting, and it is what lured me in at the first place. And the fact that it was a horror movie that I hadnu0026#39;t already seen did of course help win me over.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI will say that the acting performances in u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot; definitely were good, and it was nice to see new and unfamiliar faces on the screen. I wasnu0026#39;t familiar with the cast that they had managed to get together for this movie, so that was definitely something I enjoyed. However, despite some interesting and good performances, then the actors and actresses had very little to work with in terms of a properly entertaining and enjoyable script and storyline.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot; is a movie that is of an acquired taste and liking. Sadly the movie fell short of what entertains me, so I wasnu0026#39;t impressed with the movie, much less actually entertained by the events that transpired on the screen. It all just felt pointless, mundane and actually boring.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eFor a horror movie, then u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot; was an offbeat movie. It most certainly wasnu0026#39;t a traditional horror, for better or worse. And I am sure that this fact will find appeal with some audience viewers, while missing the point with others.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf you, like me, am a seasoned horror veteran, then I would suggest that you skip out on u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot;, because the movie isnu0026#39;t really worth it. Some of us suffered through the ordeal, so you donu0026#39;t have to.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of u0026quot;Honeydewu0026quot; settles on a mere three out of ten stars.”
