“Let me start out by saying I think the main star in this flick, John Cassavettes is one of the most underrated actors of his time. I was expecting this movie to blow me out of the water. Iu0026#39;m a huge fan of euro action and gangster flicks. Maybe Iu0026#39;ve seen too many…or maybe u0026quot;Machine Gun McCainu0026quot; just wasnu0026#39;t trashy enough for me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe plot is simple and straightforward. John is great as the quintessential old school tough guy. His son represents everything he isnu0026#39;t. I liked that part of the story- the relationship between Hank and his son.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis movie lacked the overall trashiness that I like to see in these Italian crime flicks. I prefer stuff like u0026quot;Street Lawu0026quot; or Fulciu0026#39;s u0026quot;Contraband,u0026quot; and recently I saw Deodatou0026#39;s u0026quot;Live Like A Cop Die Like A Manu0026quot; which is way more along the lines of the stuff I like (more violence, more shock, more trash)…I rented this movie and I doubt Iu0026#39;ll purchase it for my collection.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHowever, Iu0026#39;d recommend it for fans of John Cassavettes. As I said, he really makes the movie. Look for a young Florinda Bolkan as Josie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e6 out of 10, kids.”
