“Right, well as I sat down in 2021 to watch the 2014 Thai comedy u0026quot;Namo OKu0026quot; for the first time, I was under the impression that I was in for a comedy. Especially since the movie had the words u0026quot;ridiculously fun!u0026quot; brandished on the front of the cover.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Ridiculously fun!u0026quot;, yeah, that might be overexaggerating it quite a bit. This movie wasnu0026#39;t even remotely fun. I didnu0026#39;t even laugh a single time. In all fairness, it should be said that I only managed to sit through half of the movie, then I just gave up on it out of sheer and utter boredom. So if the funny parts were left in the second part of the movie that I skipped on, I donu0026#39;t know. Nor do I really care, because this movie failed to entertain me on every level.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDirector Thitipong Chaisati just didnu0026#39;t manage to come up with a movie that provided me with any entertainment. Perhaps you need to be Thai and well-traversed in the Thai culture and be familiar with the Buddhist traditions and world of monks, I donu0026#39;t know. I do know, however, that the movie was a massive swing and a miss in terms of entertaining me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline told in u0026quot;Namo OKu0026quot; was insanely slow paced and even more so devoid of anything fun or interesting. So yeah, it was a massive struggle to sit through half of the movie. So giving up on it was not something that required much convicing.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI am sure that the acting in the movie was adequate, but I wasnu0026#39;t really paying much attention, because the storyline was just a heap of rubbish.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI am rating u0026quot;Namo OKu0026quot; a generous two out of ten stars, based solely on the production value of the movie.”
