“I admit that I went because my child wanted to see this movie. I intended to nap, or at least rest my eyes, during the film. Iu0026#39;m not a fan of Harry Connick, Jr. in movies. In fact, other than Will Smith, I find it hard to think of a singer I like to see in a movie (this film as 2 – Kris Kristofferson is also a character). In this movie, Harry Connick is able to make up for what I thought was a terrible performance in Independence Day (even beside the aforementioned Will Smith he couldnu0026#39;t pull off making me believe he was a military pilot), and no, I didnu0026#39;t think he was good in Hope Floats (but did like him on Will and Grace). As for Kristofferson, he hasnu0026#39;t played a character Iu0026#39;ve liked (voice work excluded) since 1978 when he was the lead in Convoy.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBased on a true story itu0026#39;s easy to think you can take a kid to the movie and check out since you know the ending. Unanimated, youu0026#39;re probably thinking that you wonu0026#39;t have to pay attention to get the adult humor that hopefully flies over kids heads that come with todayu0026#39;s animated films and is intended for the parents that also have to attend. Let me help you – stay awake through the whole thing. Yes, the dolphin steals the movie (never work with kids or animals, especially when theyu0026#39;re cute and talented), but the other characters are worth watching.
