Enishi: The Bride of Izumo: Directed by Hiroshi Horiuchi. With Toshiya Isaka, Tomiyuki Kunihiro, Lily, Toshifumi Fujimoto. Maki Iizuka (Nozomi Sasaki) works as an editor for a wedding magazine in Tokyo. She is set to marry Kazunori Nakamura (Yuta Hiraoka) next month, when her grandmother dies. Her grandmother was like a mom to Maki. While Maki arranges items left by her grandmother, she discovers a box made from empress tree. The box contains a white bridal Kimono and marriage registration forms. The marriage registration forms are mostly empty, except for the name “Soichi Akiguni” filled into a blank. Maki becomes curious about Soichi Akiguni and decides to go to her hometown Izumo in Shimane Prefecture. There, she meets a young fisherman.

“I saw an interview with the director before I watched the film and I expected something… more. I was hoping for some exposition, maybe a little analysis about the Etruscan culture and mythology. Thereu0026#39;s nothing like that in this film, which was a disappointment to me. It is just a run-of-the-mill horror with teenage protagonists. Which means that they make stupid choices, are annoying and that you donu0026#39;t really care what happens to them. This is one of the greatest failings in any horror film as it robs the film of suspense.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTruthfully though, this is far from the worst film Iu0026#39;ve seen, itu0026#39;s just not one that I will remember for very long. There are far better films in this genre, but as long as youu0026#39;re not the one paying to watch this, I donu0026#39;t think youu0026#39;ll feel too robbed.”
