Blumen der Nacht: Directed by Jeffrey Bloom. With Louise Fletcher, Victoria Tennant, Kristy Swanson, Jeb Stuart Adams. Children are hidden away under an attic by their conspiring mother and grandmother.

“Okay, so the movie wasnu0026#39;t the greatest Iu0026#39;ve ever seen, but it certainly wasnu0026#39;t the worse. The novel by V.C. Andrews is my favorite book of all time, and the movie does fall short of the expectations of die hard Flowers in the Attic fans, but the movie wasnu0026#39;t a total disaster. I thought Ben Ganger and Lindsay Parker were perfect as the twins, Cory and Carrie, though Kristy Swanson and Jeb Adams werenu0026#39;t nearly as impressive as Cathy and Christopher. The actress that played the mother, Corrine, lacked the physical and emotional characteristics the book possessed her with, but the actress that played the grandmother did a pretty good job at being evil and torturous. The movie does have its moments when you feel sorry for the children, but it also has its moments when you wanna shake them and scream u0026quot;Just drop kick the psycho grandma and get out of there you idiots!u0026quot; But itu0026#39;s just hard to capture all of the enchantment of a classic book such as this on film. The book is a perfect 10 out of 10, but I give the movie a 6 out of 10.”
