“I am very impressed by the acting of the kidu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe movie is interesting, but not especially amazing. Above average. I believe itu0026#39;s quite enjoyable for people who like this style of movie though. It slightly reminds me of Matilda, maybe due to comedy elements and smart girl.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eGarafalo is a bit under utilized. I have been a big fan for years and think sheu0026#39;s great. But of course the movie is about the girl, so itu0026#39;s to be expected that sheu0026#39;s under utilized.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThereu0026#39;s some funny lines in the movie. For example the mentor remarks, in response to a question, u0026#39;Is it bigger than a breadbox?u0026#39; And the girl says u0026#39;XBoxu0026quot;? And he says u0026#39;Whatu0026#39;s an XBoxu0026quot;. And she says u0026#39;Whatu0026#39;s a breadboxu0026#39;. Very funny gender gap commentaryu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eItu0026#39;s not a good chess movie IMO. If you want more about chess, see something else, IMO. I feel like this movie misrepresents the game a bit and how one would learn about it.”
