Jolly LLB: Directed by Subhash Kapoor. With Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla. Wanting to earn fame and fortune, a small time lawyer files a PIL for an infamous hit-and-run, and thus learns what it really is like to be a lawyer.

“I agree with the comments, but Arshad Warsi was the best as shown from Meerut. The problem is with director who was unable to get Arshad into the Character. Everyone knows Arshad Warsi character in u0026quot;Lage Raho Munna Bhaiu0026quot;.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe film is a fun watch if you are willing to overlook its minor indulgences and the slow pace of the first half.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eJolly LLBu0026#39;s first half meanders a bit, featuring a clumsy u0026#39;daaruu0026#39; song and a Meerut that mysteriously hides – but boy, does its second half hammer things home. With crackling scenes between Jolly versus Rajpal (Irani deadly smooth, like velvet soaked in blood) and Rajpal versus judge Tripathi (Shukla in a brilliant show, hysterically yelling, Gavel kidder-rakha Ha?!u0026quot;, thundering at Rajpal, u0026quot;Sit down! Yeh Meara court Ha aapka club nahin!u0026quot;), the action becomes electric. Drama builds as Jolly (Warsi, highly endearing and impressive) finds his voice. Jollyu0026#39;s astonishment at Rajpalu0026#39;s callousness – u0026quot;Footpath sone ke liye nahin Hau0026quot; – Jolly responding, u0026quot;Footpath gaudy chalane ke liye Bi nahin Ha!u0026quot;, mirrors the aam aadmiu0026#39;s bewilderment and determination to fight.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eJolly LLB works because of its bigger point – decency is for all and worth fighting for. Using bittersweet satire and plot twirls, the film shows corruption even used against the corrupt. Despite that weaker first half, this truly becomes a Jolly good show.”
