The Lone Road: Directed by Christopher Krueger. With Denise Woelpern, Alexis Moeller, Jeffrey Kaye, Teri Marlowe. “The Lone Road” is a suspense thriller in the vein of “Witness” and “Breakdown”. It’s the story of a young woman, Elizabeth, who after a couple of personal set backs, takes a mind-cleansing road trip, eventually coming to a remote town where she witnesses a brutal murder by a prominent citizen with a sinister secret. Trapped in the small town, she is pursued by a bunch of crazed killers with the family values of “Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Elizabeth, who once had her whole life ahead of her, now has death hot on her tail.

“Itu0026#39;s no budget movie so I grade them on a curve. Itu0026#39;s a trapped in a small town movie like u0026quot;Breakdownu0026quot; and u0026quot;The Hills Have Eyesu0026quot; except the main bad guy is upper-class. There are a few local yokels though like the Nub and the extra creepy dad. He made my momu0026#39;s skin crawl. The bad guyu0026#39;s wife is straight out of a John Waters or Russ Meyer movie. She is creepy and hilarious at times. The female leads are like a younger version of u0026quot;Thelma and Louiseu0026quot;. Theyu0026#39;re in trouble and try to runaway but canu0026#39;t so they must face their fears to survive. Thereu0026#39;s some surprises along the way too. If you enjoy low-budget movies then you should check this out.”
