The Legend of Boggy Creek: Directed by Charles B. Pierce. With Vern Stierman, Chuck Pierce Jr., William Stumpp, Willie E. Smith. A documentary-style drama about the “Fouke Monster

“After hearing about this movie for a long time, I finally found it for rent while visiting my in-laws in August of 2001. It was only the second time in my adult life that I have been scared by a movie (Kubricku0026#39;s The Shining was the other one). The low budget only adds to this. Having most of the encounters take place at night in a desolate swampland was quite chilling. I nearly jumped through the roof when my brother-in-law crept outside and made wild animal sounds from just outside the window in the middle of the movie (at 2 AM in a rural area). I recommend this to any sasquatch buff.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe funny part comes when the principal character goes to visit an eccentric friend and mentions that this guy u0026quot;shot himself in the foot during a boating accidentu0026quot;. Huh?”
