Quarter Bin: Directed by Roger Priebe. With Benny Benzino, Jason Botsford, Jennifer James Davies, Heather Jane Farr. Love and Comics, sometimes not in that order. Quarter Bin is “Friends in a comic book store”. It’s a romantic comedy, but with a twist!

“Kevin owns a local comic book store. He just found out after three years of dating his girlfriend that they are second cousins. Fearing flipper babies they decide to break up. Kevin sulks at the shop with his friends Todd and Lisa and then Carley enters their life. She is a comic shop wiz and Kevin can use the help since a new shop is in town ran by the one and only Ian Petrella, you know the kid who played Randy in A Christmas Story? He thinks she might be into him, but Carley has someone else sheu0026#39;s interested in. Lisa. This is such a sweet, little movie. Being a comic book nerd I laughed when the guy came in to sell his 50 copies of Death of Superman. The entire cast are fun to watch as they deal with being twenty somethings in Ohio. Ian Petrella looked like he was having a great time being a dingbat version of himself. Who knows? Maybe heu0026#39;s an actual dingbat in real life. No idea as I have never met the man. I liked that the film gave much love to independent comics. Quarter Bin is sweet and funny and gives off a comfortable small town vibe from people that actually live there, well except for Ian Petrella. I assume heu0026#39;s in LA in his mansion he bought with his A Christmas Story money. This was on Amazon Prime and the title grabbed me immediately. The cover seemed a little exploitative for what is essentially an awkward love story, but it works. I would watch this again.”
