Five Star Stories (1989)

Five Star Stories: Directed by Kazuo Yamazaki. With Ryô Horikawa, Kazuhiko Inoue, Maria Kawamura, Ichirô Nagai. The Joker five-star system is under Emperor Amaterasu. Mecha pilot Ladios must save his co-pilot, Fatima-class female android Lachesis, from one of many warlords, who oppose Amaterasu.

“What a tease! One of the most magnificent anime films Iu0026#39;ve seen, and thatu0026#39;s it, no more. I believe there was supposed to be a television series to follow up, but it never happened. Either way, itu0026#39;s based on a large series of manga (which has never been translated) so at least Japanese fans had something to sate them. The highlight of this one is the giant mecha, or u0026quot;mortar headsu0026quot;, very cool stuff indeed!”
