Grand Auto Theft: L.A.: Directed by Jeff Leroy. With Isis Velazquez, Dana Brighton, Ryan Cleary, Alexis Codding. A group of women take on a major crime lord on the streets of Los Angeles in the lawless “Calles de Infierno” district in a bid to take over his business and rule the city. But they’ll first have to deal with a revenge-seeking vigilante looking to clean up the streets. The gangs, the cops and the vigilante clash in an explosive battle of cars, guns, double and triple-crosses on the streets of LA.

“Granted that given the synopsis for the movie and the whole concept, then I already knew that this movie was going to be bad. But still I gave it a chance, on the off chance that it was one of those bad movies that are so cheesy that they are still fun and entertaining to watch.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot; wasnu0026#39;t one of those types of movies…u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI managed to sit through just a bit more than 30 minutes of the ordeal that is u0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot;. Then I simply had enough of it, as it was not an ounce entertaining to me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline in u0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot; was shoddy and sort of non-existing. From what I managed to sit through it felt more like a series of random scenes cut and edited together.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI was laughing so hard at the horribly CGI animation in the game that the girls were playing in the hideout on the console. It looked like something from the early 1990s.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhile we are on the topic of CGI, then it should be stated that the CGI in u0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot; is just plain and simply put atrocious. The blood effects were just so poorly made that it makes you laugh. And the scene where a man is ripped apart by moving vehicles is so laughable it has to be witnessed to be believed, because that was some of the worst CGI I have seen in a long, long time.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot; is also full of continuity errors. There was one hilarious shooting scene where a car side window is shattered, then in the next shot it is back again but only has a small bullet hole. Seriously? These kind of mistakes are so lousy and so unprofessional.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe music score for the movie was not in my taste either, and it was more of a nuisance than it was suitable for the movie and the style of the movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting in the movie was actually fair enough, especially taking into consideration the lack of proper script and a proper storyline. So the people were doing good jobs with the limitations imposed on them.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Grand Auto Theft: LAu0026quot; contains some very laughable and ridiculous screen wipe sequences that were constantly showing as the movie pass from one scene to another, and it contains some laughable Graphics of the movie title. This just made the movie seem like an even more low budget movie than it actually was.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI can in all honesty say that I will not attempt a second viewing of this to get past the 30-something marker that I managed to endure. This movie was not worth my time or effort, and most definitely not worth my money.”
