Army of One: Ein Mann auf göttlicher Mission: Directed by Larry Charles. With Nicolas Cage, Russell Brand, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amar Chadha-Patel. After a personal visit by God himself, the eccentric construction worker Gary Faulkner takes the decision to embark on an adventure in the badlands of Pakistan to bring Al-Qaeda’s leader Osama Bin Laden to justice.

“I know Nicolas Cage takes a lot of u0026quot;flaku0026quot; from reviewers, but Iu0026#39;m always interested in what heu0026#39;ll come up with next. Here he portrays Gary Faulkner, from Greeley, Colorado, an actual person, who was commanded by God to travel to Pakistan by himself and capture Osama bin Laden.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf it sounds silly and ridiculous, and it is, but I at least got some laughs out of the movie especially in the middle part of the film, after which it unfortunately falls apart. To me, Cage is always charismatic on the screen, and I thought Wendi McLendon-Covey was well cast as Marci here, who ends up in a relationship with Gary.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOverall, a disappointment from the very talented filmmaker Larry Charles, with a script from Rajiv Joseph and Scott Rothman. Some laughs here, but not enough to carry the movie.”
