When Lord Menace returns from the dead to terrorize San Antonio, the old gang must reassemble to fight evil once more. Unfortunately since their last adventure the gang has become complacent, they have families, lives, weight gain, so how can they fight an otherworldly evil when they must first get into shape?

Yeah, the movie is a low budget and low-key superhero action comedy, but with a twist. Yeah, this movie doesnu0026#39;t have super buff young men with muscles in places you didnu0026#39;t even know could have muscles. No, these are superheroes with dad bodies. Yep.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWell, while that concept definitely has potential for some good comedy, then this movie just fell very short of delivering much of any entertainment or enjoyment that appealed to me. So this movie was a swing and a miss from writer and director Mark Cant.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhat made u0026quot;Average Joeu0026quot; fail here for me was the pacing of the storyline and the fact that the character gallery in the movie was just insanely monotonous. So there was just little of anything worthwhile here for me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNow, I am sure that a niche film such as u0026quot;Average Joeu0026quot; definitely will find an audience out there somewhere, I just happened not to be a part of that particular audience.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI am rating u0026quot;Average Joeu0026quot; a generous two out of ten stars, as the movie just failed to entertain or impress me on any level.”
