Die Akte Odessa (1974)
39KDie Akte Odessa: Directed by Ronald Neame. With Jon Voight, Maximilian Schell, Maria Schell, Mary Tamm. Following the suicide of an elderly Jewish man, a journalist in possession of the man’s diary investigates the alleged sighting of a former S.S. Captain, who commanded a concentration camp during World War II.
“Although it deviates from the excellent booku0026#39;s plot, The Odessa File is, in my opinion, Jon Voightu0026#39;s best performance. A good script is handled very well by the actors. Like all Frederick Forsythu0026#39;s books, the film conveys the possibility that all the events in the film were completely accurate to real events. The ending of the film, when we find out the reason for Jon Voightu0026#39;s character tracking down the former Nazi, is a superb moment of suspense.”
