“I decided to watch Samurai Shifters despite having no idea about the history of the samurai and yet I came out with a smile on my face as the makers truly took out one aspect of the samurai culture and turned it into a recipe for comedy and history brush-up. It talks about the charge of samurai clan movements that were supposedly necessary as part of war strategy in ancient Japan, but with enough doses of humour through the characters that are unique in their own way. There are a lot of sequences that trigger delight in your heart, and despite presence of a few boring scenes, Samurai Shifters comes full circle at the end, as it pays homage to those who lost their lives during the movements.
