Moonwalk One: Directed by Theo Kamecke. With Laurence Luckinbill, Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins. This documentary from 1970 explores all aspects of the Apollo 11 Moon mission.

“Bad music, tendentious narration, false drama that hides the real dramas, not a good effort. NASA was awful at self-promotion. The worst part of this film is how uncool it is – how wrong it gets the cultural times – like those very unhip adults who tried to sport the latest youth fashions in the 1970s. Maybe you should watch this film while sitting in a Naugahyde chair in a room with orange shag carpeting, sipping a glass of iced Dubonnais.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThankfully, a few modern films do a far better job, including the wonderful u0026quot;Chasing the Moonu0026quot; and u0026quot;Apollo 11u0026quot;, just released this year.”
