The Unquenchable Thirst for Beau Nerjoose: Directed by Johnny Buell. With Quinn Allan, Richard Bain, Jacob Bean-Watson, Teresa Boyd. This absurd tale follows an apathetic man-child, Ron, on a journey to restore the spirit of his catatonic mother. Meeting friends along the way, this ridiculous, drug-filled musical expedition uncovers not only the secrets behind his mother’s current state, but a mystery surrounding the purpose of the Universe. Ron must use this knowledge to not only save his mother, but also help his new space-nun friends and defeat the ultimate cause of his consternation: Dr. Beau Nerjoose. Also, Ron has a talking alien worm living in his butthole.

“Exploitation movies can be excellent, like Poultrygeist or the Yeti: A Love Story sequel. The Unquenchable Thirst for Beau Nerjoose has the same spirit as these movies but itu0026#39;s just not as sharp. To be good, exploitation movies have to strike a balance between gross-out humour and wit. Poultrygeist was dirty as hell but it lampooned political correctness, liberal college culture, and taboo subjects like religion (all religions, not just Christianity, the safe-to-attack religion). u0026quot;Thirstu0026quot; doesnu0026#39;t have this same lampooning wit. It instead veers more towards the dick and fart jokes and suffers for it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIn the end u0026quot;Thirstu0026quot; is a simple stream of poop, sex, and boob jokes that comes off as empty-headed and even tedious at times. Itu0026#39;d be fine for potheads and stoners, very young teenage boys, and guys like Michael Rotondo, but if you donu0026#39;t fall into those categories you wonu0026#39;t care much for this film. I laughed rarely and kept waiting for the movie to get good.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThat said, I donu0026#39;t want to condemn u0026quot;Thirstu0026quot; completely. There is a lot of talent on display; the movie looks good and the actors play their parts well. u0026quot;Thirstu0026quot; is also a musical, and most of the songs are surprisingly catchy. The songs are even better in fact than the songs in Poultrygeist, but Iu0026#39;m not a big fan of musicals anyway, and I always found that the songs in Poultrygeist were the worst thing about that movie. u0026quot;Thirstu0026#39;su0026quot; songs are brief and donu0026#39;t get in the way of the movie (too much).”
