“SVTs Filmkrönikan titled it the best teenage movie since u0026quot;Fucking Åmålu0026quot; (1998). I would tend to agree. Fjorton suger (translates into fourteen sucks) was filmed in Helsingborg, Sweden and two out of the four directors also produced the music video to this summers mega hit u0026quot;Hej Hej Monicau0026quot;. The team really seems to have enjoyed making this movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eEmma is 16 years old and lives in Helsingborg, Sweden. Actually she will be 16 in October. Next year.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIn u0026quot;Fjorton Sugeru0026quot; we get straight in to the life of the fourteen year old teenager Emma (played by very cute Elin Ahlberg). She is on her way to a party, invited by one of her older brothers friends. Emma gets completely wasted at the party and one of her brothers friends rapes her after she has passed out on a bed upstairs in the house. After this terrible event nothing is the same. Her family doesnu0026#39;t know what has happened but Emmau0026#39;s world is completely shattered.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut the the rape is only one side of the story. The story is about the everyday difficulties of being a teenager, the relationship to friends in the same age who suddenly seem childish and immature, about the urge to hang out with her brothers older friends instead, the relationship to her brother and parents and about falling in love. The story is told in a very mature way showing that it is possible to make an excellent movie with a very limited budget. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.”
