10K‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Live!: The Alpocalypse Tour: Directed by Wayne Isham. With Phil Collins, Chris Fedun, Melania Fedyna, Laura Iaccino. “Weird Al” Yankovic Live! — The Alpocalypse Tour is the concert event to end all concert events…and the perfect way to kill some time while waiting for the end of the world.
“This is a one hour concert featuring Weird Al Yankovic that coincided with his u0026#39;Alpocalypseu0026#39; tour and it aired a few minutes ago on Comedy Central. The first portion features Alu0026#39;s newest songs from the u0026quot;Alpocalyseu0026quot; album–such as u0026quot;Perform This Wayu0026quot;, u0026quot;CNRu0026quot;, u0026quot;Party in the CIAu0026quot;, u0026quot;Polkafaceu0026quot;, u0026quot;TMZu0026quot; and u0026quot;Skipper Danu0026quot;. Following this, you see and hear a few of his classic songs such as u0026quot;Amish Paradiseu0026quot;, u0026quot;White and Nerdyu0026quot;, u0026quot;Fatu0026quot; and u0026quot;Canadian Idiotu0026quot; (my favorite song of the ones in this film).u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs Yankovic and his band perform, you see a variety of videos appearing on a large screen behind them. This was nice, but I really liked seeing all of Alu0026#39;s costume changes. I assume this concert video was pieced together from several concerts, as there is no way he could change THAT fast. Still, Iu0026#39;m going to his concert this Thursday–and I am anxious to see if he indeed changes this often. I also am hoping heu0026#39;ll perform some of my favorites such as u0026quot;Christmas at Ground Zerou0026quot;, u0026quot;Trigger Happyu0026quot; and u0026quot;Albuquerqueu0026quot;. And therein is part of the problem. At about 50 minutes, this is way too short and has you wanting more….and perhaps THAT is why itu0026#39;s as short as it is. A lotta fun.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eUPDATE: I went to the concert and, yes, he DID make a lot of costume changes. During these brief intermissions, various videos played–most of which were pretty funny. The concert itself had about half or less of the songs youu0026#39;d see in this video–which was nice. He seemed to do more oldies in the live concert. Both were great–but at 128 minutes, the live one was much longer and even more fun.”
