Jaguar (2016)

Jaguar: Directed by A. Mahadev, Gururaj M. Desai. With Nikhil Gowda, Deepti Sati, Jagapathi Babu, Sadhu Kokila. Krishna, a young medical student, strikes against corrupt figures of power as a vigilante and tries to decribes his father’s injustice death while trying to win the love of his friend’s sister as a college student.

“Jaguar, debut movie of grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda. Starting with the trailer, the expectation was huge and the main highlight was the stunts matching Hollywood style. It is a typical commercial flick with a routine story. However, I loved the movie for the fact it has been carried well until end with a tight screenplay. The production values are high and first in Kannada movie industry matching other Big Industries of Indian Cinema. Nikhil has acted reasonably well and shows his energy of improving a lot in future movies. With a big cast of Tollywood u0026amp; Sandalwood actors, beautiful locations one can see richness in every frame. The music has justified what is required for the movie. The main core of the movie is stunt which can be lauded. I have never seen stunts performed in Jaguar in any on the Indian Cinema until today. Full marks for the action sequences. Verdict: A routine story but impresses with richness and sets benchmark for other commercial movies. 9 out of 10.”
