The Basement (2011)

The Basement: Directed by Martin-André Young. With Michael Luckett, Vanessa Smythe, Matt Barker, Philip Turkiewicz. Five teenagers frantically run for refuge down into a basement. They barricade themselves inside as they are being hunted down by an insane killer upstairs.

“A group of teens barricade themselves inside a house to escape a creep who is a bit of crackpot… It pretty much goes where these types of movie usually go with its usual screaming, darting and escaping. The ending is a bit of a surprise admittedly and it gets extra brownie points for that. But the characters are just… uggh… and also annoying and unlikeable in equal measures. Watchable… to an extend I suppose. Maybe put it on while vacuuming the floor or doing something else”
