Boston: Directed by Jon Dunham. With Matt Damon, Robert de Castella, Manzie Jones, Rosa Mota. The history of the Boston Marathon from its humble origins starting with only 15 runners, to the first female runners, through the tragedy in 2013, and ultimately the triumph of 2014.

“First, I liked this doc and the backstory on the Boston Marathon. It was, ultimately, a John Hancock infomercial – which is fine (produced by the company and the name shows up repeatedly throughout). It was very focused on the 2014 marathon, the year after the bombing.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOne very big part that was missing – the 1982 Dick Beardsley/Alberto Salazar u0026quot;Duel in the Sunu0026quot; race. I was surprised that it wasnu0026#39;t highlighted. Rosie Ruiz is covered, as is the Kathrine Switzer u0026quot;261u0026quot; race. Interesting that they eliminated the u0026#39;82 race, as itu0026#39;s quite famous.”
