63KInori no maku ga oriru toki: Directed by Katsuo Fukuzawa. With Hiroshi Abe, Junpei Mizobata, Rena Tanaka, Tsutomu Yamazaki. Michiko came to Tokyo to visit Hiromi, but is instead found murdered. The renter of Michiko’s place is missing. The police is having a hard time finding clues and solving the case. There are not any clues and a connection between the dead and absent is not forthcoming. The only hint is an item found near the corpse, but it complicated the matters because it makes the file personal to one of the detectives assigned to the murder.
“Who did the director of u0026quot;The Crimes That Bindu0026quot; hire to score the music? Yanni? George Winston? The syrup-heavy music was so overwhelming in this film that whatever was happening on screen didnu0026#39;t matter – all you wanted to do was hope the infernal, dreaded music stopped while the scenes played out. Alas, that wasnu0026#39;t the case. so you are TORTURED for the duration of the otherwise well-written crime thriller by the sappy instrumentals and the frequent, overdone, on-screen sobbing. That said, if you can somehow magically mute the background music out of your mind, youu0026#39;ll be rewarded with an interesting Japanese crime noir that matches those created in South Korea and elsewhere.”
