The Brighton Miracle: Directed by Max Mannix. With Temuera Morrison, Lasarus Ratuere, Sumire, Yûki Kudô. “Inspired by true events, the story begins with Japanese rugby officials dwelling on a humiliating anniversary, a 145-17 defeat by the New Zealand All Blacks in the 1995 World Cup. Officials question their decision to appoint Eddie Jones, to coach their national team for the 2015 World Cup. Jones plans to defy convention in order to put a stop to Japan being the laughing stock of world rugby.”

“Iu0026#39;m a rugby fan and Eddie is one of the more interesting individuals in sport so I enjoyed it somewhat anyway. But I didnu0026#39;t think it was really that well scripted and I thought it was odd that there was no mention of Eddieu0026#39;s wife and daughter. He was 55 when that all took place and yet they concentrated entirely on his parents and their influence. Overall it was a bit clunky and obvious. Kind of TV movie stuff.”
