“Shot on cheap DSLR with kit lenses, and edited in an 8-bit project, as shown with the banding during crossfades, this one looks like a local amatuer acting schools annual film for the students to show off what theyu0026#39;ve learned.nu0026#39;Acting Schoolu0026#39;, not u0026#39;Film Schoolu0026#39;, as thereu0026#39;s little evidence of camera or lighting skills, and none at all of any particular style, beyond the imitation News Journalist Style.nThis one should have gotten in an experienced Cinematographer and good Gaffer, and sent the script out to be tightened up, the jokes are flat, the plot is telegraphed in early, as is the u0026#39;big secretu0026#39; of the twist, and it really looks like the actors best work comes from,…. Ah, whou0026#39;m I kidding,.. thereu0026#39;s no really stand out performances, just a couple of scenes, mostly between the camera guy and the make-up artist characters, that are less bland and more natural then the rest of the film. Mary Caitland Williams does more with grunts and sniffing then half the rest do, and Ashley Nadeau draws a smile, but no chuckles, with her characters u0026#39;old Russian sayingu0026#39; lines.nThis one has too much dialog and not enough effects blood or screaming victims to to be worth sitting through.nItu0026#39;s one redeeming feature is the music, spotting which real film inspired the snippets between scenes.”
