Peter u0026 the Wolf: Directed by Suzie Templeton. An animated retelling set to Prokofiev’s suite.

“This one might be controversial. In a time when animation studios like Pixar or DreamWorks create tons of successful high-budget animation films with lots of action and tension in it, one might wonder if thereu0026#39;s still a place for films like these. Well, in my opinion, those are two very different animals. If you want action and suspense and you donu0026#39;t care about anything else, then go see u0026quot;Toy Story 3u0026quot; or u0026quot;The Incrediblesu0026quot; and forget about this one.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis story is from a time when nothing of the above-mentioned existed and people werenu0026#39;t dreaming of flying superheroes. This is a down-to- earth picture which deals with philosophical issues, without being pretentious and without demanding to much of its viewers.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis particular realisation of that powerful and touching story is perfect in every way. Wonderful figures, a great attention to detail and an adequate rendition of Prokofievu0026#39;s Suite altogether create a very genuine u0026quot;Russian atmosphereu0026quot;. It is a true masterpiece and definitely deserves a wider audience.”
