Schwarze Nelke: Directed by Åsa Faringer, Ulf Hultberg. With Michael Nyqvist, Lumi Cavazos, Kate del Castillo, Lisa Werlinder. Harald Edelstam uses his position as Sweden’s ambassador to Chile to save political dissidents from persecution by the military junta after Augusto Pinochet’s 1973 coup d’état.

“Harald Edelstam was ambassador of Sweden in Chile during the Pinochet rebellion. He saved many people from the junta and also took considerable personal risks. Heu0026#39;s worth a movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut a better one than this. First, itu0026#39;s always ridiculous hearing Swedes talking English to each other. That makes the picture less trustworthy from the beginning. Second, itu0026#39;s not very well acted and the characters are very square. This is more of a drama for TV than for a big screen.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eItu0026#39;s a pity, because this is an important subject about morality and personal responsibility. But you donu0026#39;t get interested.”
