Speed Is My Need: Directed by Mark Sloper. With Shane Byrne, Colin Edwards, Leon Haslam, Ron Haslam. Inside the mind of a superbike racer, what makes these men risk their lives for the thrill of speed? Spectacular footage, unbelievable crashes, racing psychology and modern surgery, an intimate look inside the world of racing superbikes

“This is about following a racer, for the most part, through ups and downs of two seasons. The name is horrible, as a former (winning) racer, u0026quot;My Needu0026quot; really? This starts out really strong with a good storyline and real coverage/vintage footage. Then nose dives. Anytime you get opinions about racing from a psychologist or someone who hasnu0026#39;t raced itu0026#39;s bad. They clearly donu0026#39;t understand and their words degrade the rest of the movie. If you want to understand racing mentality, LISTEN to Colin Edwards, heu0026#39;s telling it right. Still donu0026#39;t understand why the TT portion is there, just drivel commentary. Ends good and wraps up nicely. I donu0026#39;t know what a race fan is going to think but definitely a let down for racers.”
