Aerobicide (1987)
37KAerobicide: Directed by David A. Prior. With Marcia Karr, David Campbell, Fritz Matthews, Ted Prior. Two years ago, a young woman named Valerie was burned after entering a tanning salon. Now, her twin sister, Rhonda, runs a local gym where, all of a sudden, people are being murdered.
“A woman is burned in a tanning bed at a spa. Later, at another place u0026quot;Rhondau0026#39;s Work-Outu0026quot; women are being killed, most often by a giant safety pin.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThere are a lot of long scenes with exploitive camera-work covering the women doing their workouts to cheesy 80s music in their cheesy u0026#39;80s outfits (day-glo colors, strange patterns, leg warmers) showing off cleavage, buttocks and big hairstyles. There are some muscle men in the gym, two of whom keep getting into fights. Surprisingly, thereu0026#39;s relatively little nudity. There isnu0026#39;t a whole lot of gore either, although it does seem like bodies were being put into white body bags fairly often. One of the men carrying a bag away even says u0026quot;see you tomorrow!u0026quot;u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAt one point vandals spray-paint one of Rhondau0026#39;s windows with u0026quot;Aerobicideu0026quot; and u0026quot;Death Spa.u0026quot; The first is an AKA for this movie (also the title of one of the songs in the movie), the second happens to be the title of a movie similar to this one, but made two years later (Death Spa AKA Witch Bitch). Itu0026#39;s too bad they donu0026#39;t belong to the same distributor, because if they were ever to come out on DVD, theyu0026#39;d make a logical double feature for a single disc.”
