“IN A NUTSHELL:nDirected by Aina Jarvine and Federico Milella, this colorful animation is so beautiful to look at and one that little girls will love, complete with fairies, princesses, unicorns, and magic. Visually, itu0026#39;s stunning.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSchleich (pronounced u0026quot;Shh-like), the worldu0026#39;s leading manufacturer of animal figurines, is bringing its Bayala® franchise to life in the US with an animated feature length movie, THE FAIRY PRINCESS AND THE UNICORN: THE BAYALA® MOVIE. Made possible through a partnership with Viva Kids, this latest expansion for the film into the US follows its European theatrical release during the fall of 2019.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe film takes kids on an adventure in the world of Bayala, a magical country where fairies have been living in harmony with nature for centuries. The peaceful country is put at risk when the evil shadow fairy queen, Ophira, steals the precious dragonu0026#39;s eggs, in which lie the kingdomu0026#39;s magic. The fate of Bayala is in the hands of the brave Princess Surah and her companions as they go on an adventurous journey to bring the dragons back and save the kingdom.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe Bayala product line launched in 2012 and features an enchanting world of unicorns, fairies, mermaids and other wonderous creatures.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTIPS FOR PARENTS:nNo profanity. Instead, you hear phrases like, u0026quot;Oh my wings!u0026quot; and u0026quot;Oh my ice!u0026quot;nNothing scary. There is an evil queen, but sheu0026#39;s beautiful.nYou can download fun activity sheets that go with this movie here.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTHEMES:nu0026quot;Sometimes the smallest things can bring about the greatest change.u0026quot; – Narratornu0026quot;Each is different. All is one.u0026quot; – coronation wordsnWorking together as one u0026amp; teamwork.nBelieve in yourself.nGood vs. Evilu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTHINGS I LIKED:nVERY colorful and magical world-building. Itu0026#39;s simply gorgeous to look at.nSome humor, mostly in visual gags.nThe food looks fantastical and delicious.nGirls will love the beautiful wings and outfits.nThere are a couple of musical moments, although theyu0026#39;re not very memorable.nI wish I could fly!nThere are adventures and a mission to do whatu0026#39;s right.nIf I were a little girl, Iu0026#39;d go nuts for the merchandise of this movieu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTHINGS I DIDNu0026#39;T LIKE:nThere is a LOT of exposition during the entire movie, which is necessary because this is a world we know nothing about. Unfortunately, itu0026#39;s still hard to understand whatu0026#39;s going on in the beginning.nWhatu0026#39;s the point of a twin sister since they donu0026#39;t look alike? Why not just say sheu0026#39;s a sister?nWhy would the fairies ever walk if they could fly?nSome of the voices donu0026#39;t match the appearances of various characters.nThe unicorn plays a VERY small role in the movie, so the title doesnu0026#39;t seem to fit at all. Of course, it DOES attract young female viewers, which is probably what the studio wanted anyway.nWe learn about other parts of the kingdom but only get to see their leaders.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eYou can see the rest of my review on my Movie Review Mom Youtube channel and website”
