Von Angesicht zu Angesicht: Directed by Sergio Sollima. With Gian Maria Volontè, Tomas Milian, William Berger, Jolanda Modio. A history professor has a chance meeting with an infamous outlaw and eventually assumes leadership of his gang.

“Gian Maria Volonte gives a teriffic performance, not unlike his u0026#39;Indiou0026quot; in u0026quot;For a Few Dollars More.u0026quot; This time however he is transformed, and seriously corrupted, from a non violent professor, to a power hungry bandit. u0026quot;Face to Faceu0026quot; is certainly a close second to Sergio Sollimau0026#39;s u0026quot;The Big Gundown, and the story is quite original. Ennio Morricone does not disappoint in the music department, and the movie comes across as more of a spectacle than it actually is. Thomas Milan, William Berger, along with several other familiar faces are on board, but this is Volonteu0026#39;s film. No doubt about it. If you have been looking for an unfamiliar u0026quot;Spaghetti Westernu0026quot;, this is one to seek out. Others I would recommend are u0026quot;Django Prepare a Coffinu0026quot;, and u0026quot;Kill Them All and Come Back Alone.u0026quot; MERK”
