Talking to God: Directed by Maya Batash. With Leanne Agmon, Nikki Andrews-Ojo, Maya Batash, Marika Daciuk. After 12 nights of insomnia and feeling like her life is unraveling, Rebecca travels to the Ukraine in a desperate attempt to find a magic cure. There she finally sleeps and discovers the meaning of life through an outrageous cast of characters including a man who is truly happy despite having nothing.

“This movie is so uninspired that it has only two points of interest. First, it is an unacknowledged remake of the much better 1948 movie u0026quot;Black Bartu0026quot;. Second, the female lead is played by Melodie Johnson who made a few films and then quit movies. I believe she now writes crime novels and is highly regarded. Melodie Johnson is an interesting actress because she had that rare gift of being able to change her appearance completely. (More famous actors with this gift are Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers.) The Melodie Johnson in this movie is unrecognisable from the voluptuous blonde with the plunging cleavage in u0026quot;Gaily, Gailyu0026quot;, has no similarity with the bimbo who romped in the bath with Clint Eastwood in u0026quot;Cooganu0026#39;s Bluffu0026quot;, and has nothing in common with the subdued country girl in u0026quot;The Moonshine Waru0026quot; who offers herself to Patrick McGoohan (and is turned down!!!).u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe only reason to watch this feeble movie is to compare Melodieu0026#39;s Johnsonu0026#39;s appearance and performance with those in her other films.”
