“When I saw the guardian angel appear I started wondering if Hallmark is trying to recreate the old Max movies from yesteryear, starring the charismatic Peter Falk.nIf they did, they failed.n(With u0026quot;Max moviesu0026quot; I mean the movies where Peter Falk plays the angel Max, like u0026quot;Finding John Christmas (2003)u0026quot; and u0026quot;a Town Without Christmas (2001)u0026quot;)u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe tone of the Max movies was more serious, the scripts better.nThis was more a run of the mill Hallmark romcom.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHonestly, the whole angel bit could have easily been left out because it really doesnu0026#39;t add very much.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe movie was okay though, as with most Hallmark movies, you could see the end coming from miles away.nAlso, the ongoing theme in these movies of characters jumping to conclusions about each other half way trough the movie is a bit outdated.nIf you (partially) overhear or see something in the real world that gives you doubts about someone you talk to them about it, right?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI had fun none the less, just donu0026#39;t go in expecting a masterpiece.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis was one of the many many Hallmark movies this year.nIt seems they are gearing up towards year round movie production, taking all major holidays (and even seasons) as an excuse to spit out more movies.nI donu0026#39;t mind, the more the merrier, as long as the quality doesnu0026#39;t suffer too much, which it sometimes does.nSome actors and script just arenu0026#39;t that great or original.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI wish they brought back Holly Marie Combs this year, she is so lovely.nI loved Elizabeth Mitchell this year in u0026quot;The Christmas Clubu0026quot;, the soft, loveable, fun type suits her!nI think Paul Campbell (read his bio on imdb, lol) was miscast this year, I love seeing him in roles that fit his own personality, like the role of Gridley in u0026quot;Surprised by Love (2015)u0026quot;.nDanica McKellar is always hit or miss for me, she is great in movies like u0026quot;Love at the Christmas Table (2012)u0026quot; but a lot of the roles Hallmark writes for her are too shallow, or just donu0026#39;t fit her, the same goes for Lacey Chabert.nRachel Boston, Brooke Du0026#39;Orsay, Fiona Gubelmann and Rachael Leigh Cook are fun most of the time because they just light up a room.”
