Die Verschwörung – Tödliche Geschäfte: Directed by David Hare. With Winona Ryder, Christopher Walken, Bill Nighy, Hansel Piper. Worricker is a retired spy living in the Caribbean. He realizes he is in trouble when four “businessmen” show up. They look like mob bosses, but one actually works for the CIA. He gets help from two former MI5 colleagues back in London.

“I had not seen the original Worricker film u0026#39;Page Eightu0026#39; but having enjoyed Bill Nighyu0026#39;s work in other things I decided to give this a go.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs a well crafted piece of television drama this is as good as it gets. From the tight script to the almost dream cast you donu0026#39;t see everyday in television dramau0026#39;s this is quality in amongst a schedule full of rubbish. Itu0026#39;s a crying shame this got buried on a Thursday night on BBC 2. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNighy as ever is brilliant. If you thought youu0026#39;d seen every sort of spy then watch this because Nighy is so at ease in this role. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe only negative point is that if you want a big explosion heavy spy thriller then look somewhere else because this is not that. Here people talk about the state of the world, go for walks, talk a bit and then talk some more. The action is minimal. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI admire many aspects of this drama but I feel that 90 minutes of build up to a very small amount of action unfufilling. I enjoyed the follow up u0026#39;Salting The Battlefieldu0026#39; far more.”
