“Some fine acting in Wilde s fine play but also some stupidities. Ed Fox and son Freddie are excellent.the rest of the cast is excellent with two glaring exceptions.First they cast a young black girl as the SISTER of Lord Chiltern !! She is just a so so actress,not that engaging or beautiful and a complete distraction as it is absurd that the lord has a black sister!! that Lord Goring loves her is not believable.Stupid miscasting for what? diversity? Even more absurd is having Mrs. Cheveley being Lord Goring ex lover!! she looked 55 while he was 24!!! Actually her actual age is 60! and while he is 29 ,i think ,he does look younger like 24.Absurd miscasting. Now, she acted very well but? the age difference made their scenes together not believable.”
