Zigs: Directed by Mars Callahan. With Jason Priestley, Peter Dobson, Kane Picoy, Orien Richman. Four young compulsive gamblers come up with a radical plan to get out of debt with a fixed game.

“DOUBLE DOWN (AKA ZIGS) closely shadows DINER in that it follows a group of twenty-something male friends whose saturnalian lifestyle involves them in a series of `amusingu0026#39; episodes. Only problem is this movie completely fails to capture the elements of friendship and camaraderie that made DINER such a superb film. The characters (and situations) are far too superficial, to the point that you really donu0026#39;t care what happens to them.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003ePriestley and Picoy, while undeniably photogenic, come across as Sinatra/Martin wannabes and, of course, they fail miserably, while the two other, lesser, characters making up the group are just annoying most of the time.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf you want class watch DINER, if you want cool watch Sinatrau0026#39;s OCEANu0026#39;S 11, if you want to be bored watch this.”
