Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey: Directed by Jim Donovan. With Katie Douglas, David James Elliott, Rossif Sutherland, Amanda Arcuri. On the night she plans on taking her own life, a 17-year-old girl is kidnapped and finds herself fighting to stay alive. She manages to talk her attacker into releasing her, but when she returns home, no one believes her story except for one detective, who suspects she was abducted by a serial killer. Based on horrifying true events.

“So I googled the true story after watching this as I thought for sure they must have dramatised it but its actually all true! I absolutely agree with the other reviews that it does feel like.. a TV movie the way its filmed (for UK people kinda felt like a channel 5 movie) however, that HONESTLY didnu0026#39;t take away from the story at all. Completely gripping, brutal but honest. Really good film.”
