Cliffy: Directed by Dean Murphy. With Kevin Harrington, Roy Billing, Krew Boylan, Martin Sacks. Set against the backdrop of the early eighties, Cliffy retraces his extraordinary journey from famously training in gumboots among cow paddocks through the epic six-day period of the ultra marathon and his emergence as Australia’s most unlikely sporting hero.

“The story is about a 61 year old potato farmer from South East Victoria, down on this financial luck and enters an Ultra Marathon from Sydney to Melbourne to raise a little cash. With a current record of 860+kms in 7+ days, Cliffy takes on the challenge against the odds and with little support. Based on a true story, this is a classic Australian feel good movie, as good as The Castle which is often portrayed as THE Australian classic of itu0026#39;s time. With a great selection of Australian actors, excellent cinematography, a witty script and oozing country Australiana, I would highly recommend this film if you like this Australian genre (think The Castle).”
