Meine Freunde sind alle tot: Directed by Jan Belcl. With Michal Meyer, Adam Woronowicz, Julia Wieniawa-Narkiewicz, Adam Turczyk. During the New Year’s Eve party of a bunch of friends, a series of crazy events brings out secrets, breaks hearts and leads to a shocking ending.

“u0026quot;All My Friends Are Deadu0026quot; is a foreign black comedy, with the emphasis on black. (Miscellaneous note: I think itu0026#39;s always best to watch foreign films with subtitles, since dubbing never seems to capture the atmosphere.) Normally, this is the kind of comedy that I like best, but this one has an especially mean streak to it. No oneu0026#39;s getting out of here alive. On a different night, Iu0026#39;m sure I would have rated it higher, but as it was I I just felt a bit sick by the end. Itu0026#39;s a very harsh take on a specific plot-type thatu0026#39;s been done many times before. Specifically, you get introduced to the bloody final crime scene at the beginning, after which follows the run-up to how all these people met their untimely ends. Still, Iu0026#39;m super ambiguous about this flick. I really wasnu0026#39;t quite prepared for this particular heart of darkness on this particular evening. Donu0026#39;t let that stop you from giving it a try, since objectively I have to say it was very well done for what it was trying to be. But it wasnu0026#39;t right for me, at least not tonight.”
