“I quite liked the programme, which gave you a reasonable view of conditions in the prison. I thought it was interesting the maximum security unit appeared to be of a higher standard than the less secure areas. I thought the host managed to get accepted by the inmates family readily, but someone should have taken the trouble to teach him a few basic portuguese words, eg u0026#39;pleaseu0026#39; and u0026#39;thankyouu0026#39; so he didnu0026#39;t come across as being a complete nube speaking spanish. I also thought it would have been good if a brief, but coherent account of the recent riot had been given. If they had given the horrific figures for the other recent riots in Manaus and the rest of northern Brazil it would also have added impact. Overall, a good programme, but needed some sharpening.”
