“I actually really enjoyed this JCVD effort, it a had a fair but of money thrown at it in this case $30m plus, itu0026#39;s stylishly filmed, JCVD is as wooden as ever, but thereu0026#39;s plenty of action which is what you want in a JCVD flick, and I even donu0026#39;t mind Rodmanu0026#39;s performance, heu0026#39;s far from being the worst actor Iu0026#39;ve ever seen, but the worst part of this movie is that it becomes needlessly complicated especially on the u0026#39;Islandu0026#39; which is a reference surely to the 1960u0026#39;s cult TV show with the now late Patrick Mcgoohan. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis film ended up looking like a very good Straight to Video job which is why it surely tanked at the Box Office u0026amp; after a few more theatrical disasters such as Knock Off u0026amp; Universal Soldier: The Return (neither of which were that bad) JCVD has been reduced along with Steven Seagal,Dolph Lundgren u0026amp; Wesley Snipes into straight-to-DVD releases of varying quality but he still has a loyal band of fans who rent/buy these releases, me included.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e***1/2 out of *****”
